Meredith College opened in 1891 and has been a venue for weddings, ceremonies, performances, and gatherings ever since.
Today the External Events team manages 14 spaces across the 225-acre campus - from Jones Chapel's stained-glass interior to the open-air McIver Amphitheater. Same campus, modern logistics: online booking, on-site catering, in-house AV.
Weddings at Meredith College
Seven of our 14 venues are wedding-ready: Jones Chapel for traditional ceremonies (350 seats, stained glass, organ), McIver Amphitheater for outdoor weddings (2,500 capacity), Belk Banquet Hall for receptions with on-site Oak Leaf catering, Johnson Hall Rotunda for intimate ceremonies (75 guests), and three more for portraits, rehearsal dinners, and ceremonies-into-receptions.
We've hosted weddings here since the 1900s. Most run with our in-house event team, but you're welcome to bring your own planner, florist, photographer - whoever you want, with their own insurance on file.
